I can understand a tamed raptor not realistically beating a rex, but as it stands a tamed Giga which you can spend hours, days, or weeks leveling up or breeding for better stats and other crap just gets demolished by even a level 1 wild Giga let alone a 120 wild which would have around 7000-8000 dmg per hit (according to the multipliers on the. I am writing a small beginners guide to taming and using a giga so that when newer folks FINALY get access to them they can use them safely!
HOW THE HECK DO I FIND THIS GUY!?
The Giga spawns only on the Island and Center maps, so SE players may be out of luck here. In the Center map Gigas most often spawn on Lava Island or in the Tundra biome, while they spawn most often in northern regions of the Island (north east shore is where I usually see mine) The spawn rate is about one every four hours. Their can be no more than two wild on the map at any time.
PREP FOR THE TAME
Always have a 'Giga Go Bag' in your tribe base since you never know when a giga will spawn, preferably close to where your quetzals are so you can load up quickly and not have to worry about lugging stacks of items across the base. For a max tame you will need:
•1 to 3 crossbow/longnecks per person, preferably of Journeyman or better.
•700 narc arrows/500 tranq darts.

I FOUND ONE! NOW WHAT!?
Most importantly, make sure someone in the tribe is keeping an eye on the Giga! I have had 145s despawn on me before! Once the taming party arrives quickly set up the metal dino gates in a 'U' shape! Now aggro the Giga and kite it in to the gates, have one brave soul run up to the back and place down the remaining gate, making the 'U' an 'O', this will trap the Giga so that you can shoot it at a safe distance. Be careful of other dinos in the area that might try to nab you while you focus on your giga.
ITS DOWN! NOW WHAT!?
This is arguably the hardest part of the tame. Have someone in the gigas inventory at all times watching it's torpor and feeding it narcotics. Don't be afraid to spam narcotics as the giga's torpor pool is massive and it drops alarmingly fast (3 minutes for a max tame). I strongly suggest starve taming the Giga if you are prime taming or mutton taming.
I TAMED IT! NOW WHAT!?
Now you are ready to use your new siege weapon! However you must know the basics of using this beast before you ride one into battle!
1. NEVER ATTACK A WILD GIGA WITH A TAMED ONE! Even a lower level wild is still stronger than most tamed ones!
2. WATCH FOR CLIFFS! Gigas will enrage if they fall off even the smallest of ledges.
3. STAY OUT OF DEEP WATER! Que significa dmg. A gigas greatest enemy is water, their stamina is not enough to keep it afloat for more than a few seconds with a rider on. If you must transfer a giga through water than whistle it on passive and have it follow a flying tame through the water.
4. ONLY LEVEL MELEE! The Giga gains no substantial amount of health from leveling but increasing its damage is a good way to make it even more deadly.

As I said before, a giga is great in skilled hands but sure to backfire in the hands of the inexperienced. The most important quality in a giga rider is the ability to control the animal's level of damage, too much damage too quickly will cause the Giga to enrage, throw the rider and attack everything in chomping distance for about 15 to 20 seconds, which can even cause other allied gigas to rage as well. This is the state that your enemies are aiming for, as an enraged giga will probably do more damage to its owners than it enemies. The most effective ways to enrage a giga is explosives and fall damage, though massive amounts of turrets and miniguns can do the trick as well.
The Giga can be used as a bullet sponge if a Titan or Bronto is unavailable, as long as the creature has a place to hide and recover every now and again.
Acendednt saddles are a must for a war Giga, if you can obtain a 95 armor saddle or higher you will be good to go up against almost anything.
FIGHTING AGAINST A GIGA!
Gigas are a favorite of Alpha and Mega tribes for obvious reasons and you should expect to see one or more in any large scale raid. The name of the game here is to enrage the beast. RPGs and C4 is most effective at this, some weaker Gigas will enrage after one or two rockets. Sneaking up on an enemy FOB while they are focusing on attacking can leave an unused giga open to attack.
The only dinos that can effectively kill one outright are other Gigas and Titans.
BREEDING:
Gigas take the longest out of all the tames to raise and are among the hardest too. They take almost two weeks from beginning to end and eat like there is no tomorrow, but if you manage to keep them alive and imprint 50%+ you will have a force to be reckoned with. I highly suggest water raising these guys. Due to the giga's long breeding time, even the biggest tribes are still working on getting maxed babies so don't expect to get super high levels even if you manage to get an egg from a mega tribe.
Always imprint your giga as it increases the attack by .5 and the health by 1% with every imprint. This means that it is possible to effectively double a giga's health since the giga has 100 possible imprints!
