Crit Dmg Gear King's Raid Walkthrough
- King's Raid short progression guide (Last updated in Jan 2019, mostly waiting for Chap 9 at this point.)
- The purpose of this guide is to point newer players towards a general direction in regards to how they should be proceeding when starting the game for the first time. There is by far a lot that's not covered here because this guide expects the player to learn certain things naturally along the way.
- For additional Hero information on their skills, Unique Weapons, treasures, etc, you can go here: http://www.kingsraid.wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page
- For some FAQs, here: https://pastebin.com/SZr58fmy
- If you haven't started the game yet:
- King's raid is not a fast game and requires you to grind for long periods of time, however it won't punish you much for not logging in for a while. That way you can play at your pace a pick up where you left from.
- It should also be noted that the cash shop only serves to accelerate progression and does not stop any player from obtaining any item by other means.
- -Grinds are sometimes done over long sittings, hence using an emulator can be efficient. Look up BlueStacks, Nox, or Memu to find one.
- -Ruby is the the 'premium' currency used to purchase a number of goods in the game. Every player will be able to obtain some regularly but still: Do not waste Rubies! Don’t! Rubies should be used during specific ruby spending events that will net you a lot of good stuff that you’ll appreciate. The event usually comes every 3 months or so and you'll want either 30,00 or 50,000 rubies ready for it. The only exception you should make is for a few inventory slots early on if you really need it and for 3 or so quests which requires you to reset the shop.
- -On a similar note, don’t spent your Special Summons x10+1 unless there’s a drop rate event going on. Ideally, you want both an event that rewards you for 20 pulls+Increased UW drop rate at the same time. I doesn't happen often which should give you enough time to gather those rare drops. Single pulls can be used kinna whenever without much worry.
- -Don’t buy Heroes unless you can properly take care of them. Owning a hero is absolutely useless unless you have a ton of resource to throw at them.(From 5 Stars, you need 15 Stones of infinity and 300 of three different essences(not fragments) to reach maximum transcendence) Only do so if you really need to fix your team because you didn’t build properly.
- With that in mind, you can start playing and come back to this guide after you get a feel for the game a little bit.
- Next up:
- - Go to the inn as soon as it’s open. This is how you get free heroes by building relations over time. Free stuff is still free stuff, that’s important.
- -Don’t use XP scrolls for now. Keep on reading as the appropriate time for it will be detailed. As for XP potions, they should only be used to level up additional heroes outside of your first team since going through the campaign for the first time will give you plenty of experience.
- -About the cash shop: without going into details, by far the two best purchases you can make are the ones offered to you early on which is to obtain a level 60, 5* Hero following by an offer to buy said hero’s Unique weapon(Quick note: This has been updated in December 2018. There are now multiple one time offers you can purchase. All are similar, it's up to you to decide if you plan to spend or not.) Everything else is usually either bait or overpriced. May/Veronica packages is then the closest thing in value you can get but even that is debatable as it’s still a fair bit of money.
- You will be given a 2*,3* and 5* ticket to help you start off. The 2* will come after clearing Chapter 1 on normal while the 3* and 5* will be given after a few days of login. It doesn't really matter how many stars your hero begins at since you will be able to awaken them to 5* pretty quickly.
- Keep in mind when researching heroes online that there is a lot, and I mean a lot, of outdated information out there.
- Also, it should be noted that since fully gearing a hero takes much effort, most people don't really know shit about what they are talking about and even less when it comes to comparing multiple heroes.
- Moving on..
- Either choose a Physical or Magical team but don’t mix and match(Healers can be an exception) as many heroes have amps and shreds that apply to a single damage type.
- Whichever you chose is up to you. There might be a few differences here and there but both sides can manage to closely do anything.
- Seeing how you will have to wait a few days to get your tickets, and that not all heroes are available from them, this doesn't mean that you can't use any other heroes while you're waiting to obtain one of your core team member. What it does mean is that you should be careful not to waste too many materials enhancing them if you plan on benching them eventually.
- Once again, fully leveling/transcending a hero is a huge investment in both time and resources so try to think carefully about who you’re going to use.
- Quick note: If you need help on deciding which damage type you want. Magic has more waifus while Physical has a more all around cast of heroes. Keep it in mind when choosing which side you'll pick.
- “I don’t know who to pick anon/I’m too lazy to look around”
- Fine. Here are some picks that should work out just fine:
- -Magic Team: Frey(All around use)/Laias(Mana battery) - Kara/Aisha(Main DPS, good for end game)/Epis(PvE progression/PvP) – Annette/Lorraine(buffers/CC, both can be used pretty much forever) - Jane (Also all around great, can be recycled as AMP-DPS later if you want)
- -Physical Team: Mediana/Frey - Roi/Selene/Yanne – Miruru/Naila/Gau – Phillop/Clause (I don't deal in physical teams, I asked around for the info, complain to someone else if there's an issue.)
- The main idea is that you want someone to Tank, someone to Heal, a main DPS that deals a lot of damage, and a Support DPS for CC(stuns/knockdowns, etc).
- Note: Some of the heroes above are not available from the free hero tickets as of writing this. If you have a preference towards these characters then I suggest using the base characters you are given until you can get your hands of them. Furthermore since you can't get them freely and using the inn can take some time, this would be another exception where rubies could be used to get what you want.
- Note 2: Yanne is a Dragon specialist. She might not be the greatest for starters but you will be glad to have her when the time to farm dragons(required for most maximum gearing) and complete chapter 8 comes around.
- Note 3: Seeing as Mediana is the only Priest that's physical(Juno can only be obtained with friendship, and is PvP focused), it's normal if you end up using a magical priest on your physical team.
- Further expanding upon team comp: Okay, so a lot of people have been spreading silly information about who you should pick and what not so I figured I should be clearer on this subject as to not have everyone complain for no valid reason.
- King's raid heroes can loosely be broken down in four categories:
- -Chapter progression or PvE (These stages often have multiple battle/and or multiple enemies to fight at once. Heroes with AoE are favored while heroes who build power over time aren't)
- -PvP (You fight against a bunch of walls while pretending you're having fun.)
- -Dragon Raiding (This is where you gear up. It has multiple phases and adds)
- -Solo Boss (World Boss, Guild Raids, conquests, etc. This is usually what you're aiming for as an 'end game' This usually consist of 1 enemy with a 5 minute timer where you just try to sink as much DPS as possible in)
- Looking above, I would say that most heroes try to fill into at least one of those categories. Some will do it better as they either exceed more than other heroes in the same categories, or maybe they can fit into more than just one. Bottom line, every hero probably has at least one thing they are very good at. The issue is that 'one thing' might not be something you'll need or care about. Some of these battles where a hero can shine can be as minimal as a Challenge Raid that comes by once every few months and it could be something that might not be worth it to you.
- A) If you're planning on being a gameplayfag I suggest you aim for Solo boss heroes for now. Even should you fail elsewhere and be required to change your composition at least you'll know that you will eventually come back to that hero you swapped out. The picks I presented to you are there in preparation to some of that later content (just don't think you'll be able to do everything with them).
- B) Quick link to some heroes and their utilities: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Qa6D2yltinnr6pOw5eywJD8DrP_UNz7-orniNR63LY0/htmlview?sle=true#gid=0
- PvE: Chapter progression, Upper dungeon and most limited event that appears in town.
- BD: Black dragon. One of the dragons that you farm to gear yourself. Out of the four dragons, Black is preferred since its gear is suitable for the largest number of heroes.
- RDH/IDH/PDh/BDH: Hard version of dragons. This is barely important and should not be something you concern yourself with. They are only relevant for minor drops very late into the game.
- WB: World Boss. For end game team building. It's important to do it but scoring high isn't as important. WB1: weak to magic team, WB2: weak to physic team, WB3: Gimmick battle.
- GR: Guild Raid. Another thing you do daily. Scoring high isn't a priority unless your guild is struggling to complete their runs.
- GC: Guild conquest. Guild competes to score the highest against PvE bosses. Another end game goal.
- UT: Unique Treasure. Since you can only receive the main effect of one they are compared to see which is considered better. This shouldn't affect your choice of hero.)
- Lastly:
- Keep an eye for UW (Unique Weapons) as they are the best weapon available for a given hero. Unique Weapons can be enhanced up to that hero’s level and you’ll be able to get a free one from logins as well as from other events. You’ll also be able to accumulate enough shards to build one or two of them fairly easily early on. If you’re comfortable with your team make sure you get their UW when you can. DPS should ALWAYS be prioritized when wondering who to get UW for first.
- Since the goal of this guide is to provide a general flowchart to players it won't cover in depth builds. It then becomes up to the player to find the information they need when it comes to learning about a specific character. The link provided above and at the top of this guide is a great way to get a good idea about a hero's usefulness along with learning about their skills.
- The early game (Chapter 1-6)
- -Follow the quests. The resources you will be able to gather are going to be useful later on. The quests will also be your guide in learning about the different mechanics and things you can do in Dragon’s raid so don’t worry about having to know everything early on and just take your time.
- Here will be provided a quick list of the daily activities you should learn about within those quests and what they can do. If you have enough time it is recommended that you visit each place when required in order to accumulate resources that can be used later.
- -Shop: Resets every hour from the moment you go in. Avoid buying gear from there, mostly get the rare Reforge ticket or Artifact piece from there.
- -Castle: Battle to earn goal. The higher floors give higher reward. Resets daily.
- -Guild: You mostly do Guild Raid(daily) and Guild Conquest(twice a week) in there. What you can buy in the shop depends on your guild.
- -Arena: Do PvP, the first three level (Bronze/Silver/Gold) of the League of Victory are done against weak bots. Done to get various rewards. Gain an entry every few minutes.
- -Stockade: Every day of the week gets you a different dungeon that rewards you with skill books for a specific class. Every Hero you level will need 800 skill book(200 of each) to fully unlock their skill power. It's a given that heroes you plan on using should be maxed out.
- -Inn: Slowly befriend a new hero, once the friendship bar gets full the hero will join your team. Also spin the wheel. Both are daily.
- -Upper dungeon. Daily, has a dungeon for each chapter you completed. Used to obtain fragments. Those can then become Essences or Stones of infinity to fully upgrade your heroes. Should be done everyday.
- Facilities you unlock as you progress through the story:
- -Conquest: One for each chapter you completed. Used to XP farm, resets daily.
- -Hall of Heroes: Upgrades your heroes. Also has a weekly dungeon to earn some upgrade mats.
- -Tower of challenge: Resets on the 1st of the month. Get as high as you can for various rewards.
- -World Boss: Daily. Gain currency spent at the castle to buy Artifacts and other goods.
- -Labyrinth: Clear as many as you can to get random treasure tickets.
- Otherwise it’s pretty simple. Just go through every chapter in order and clear them with 3 Stars. Make sure you’ve cleared up to (and including) hard mode in a chapter before moving on to the next one.
- -Awaken your heroes to 5* when you have the chance. The stat increase will guarantee that you will be able to clear up to chapter 6 without too much trouble.
- -Gear isn’t relevant in this stage. You can simply equip the latest Tier that you found from monster drops without needing to enhance them. Obviously, the enhancing part doesn’t apply to any UW you might be using as you'll be keeping that weapon around pretty much forever, so power up that one.
- -Future proofing: The one thing you might want to do is clear every Upper dungeons daily whenever you can. It’ll give you useful resources to awaken and transcend later on.
- This is where things will get harder. You may have noticed that fights were getting tougher at the end of chapter 6 and if you try chapter 7 you’ll probably get obliterated on your first try if you're not prepared. The next step will provide you with the checklist needed to make sure you become strong enough to keep on going (AKA the real grind starts here). Another thing to remember is that you'll want to clear all stages on Hell mode in the first 6 chapters before moving on to Chapter 7's story mode.
- -Leveling up: Getting your first team to 90 will take a few days as the optimal way to gather XP is to clear each chapter’s Conquest battle. Ideally this is where you use your XP buffs. Hot time + 1 hour scrolls + 24 hours scrolls and then farm every conquest from chapter 1 to 6, five times, on Hell mode if you can, otherwise on Hard until it's possible. This should always net you at least a level everyday. It might seem slow but it’s the only time you’ll have to grind this way. Also make sure you use your 24 hour scroll in a way where you’ll be able to get two days worth of conquest out of them (I.E. Don’t use them straight after a daily rest). Don’t worry, once this is over additional heroes will be much easier to level up with the potions you’ll stock.
- -Transcendence: A tie-in with leveling since you’ll need at least T2 to reach level 90. Transcendence doesn’t provide the stat boost that awakening does but instead you get to spend points on perks. Either look up an optimal guide or try your hand at it. You can always reset your points later on.
- -Gearing up: Once you hit Tier 6, gearing will become important. This is done by farming dragon raids. The higher the level of the dragon the better the gear you can obtain. Also don't be afraid to ask if you need help.
- Anyways I don’t intend to make a full guide about it since there’s so much information about it out there so instead of telling you “why” you should do it, I’ll simply list what needs to be done.
- 1) DPS wants gear with mostly these four option lines: Attack – CRIT – CRIT DMG – ATK speed. Your DPS needs enough CRIT to pretty much only deal critical damage which at first might be hard but don’t worry, it’ll be easier once you tier up. Farming Black dragon raid will offer the best bonus for now as it gives you additional MP per attack to use your skills more often. If not, the Fire dragon will give you additional CRIT.
- If you have any gear tickets (This depends on when you started playing) you can make a perfect set of gear for your DPS right off the bat which will makes things smoother… like by a metric ton.
- +New addition since september 2018: Repositorium. Completing it a few times (Which unlocks after chapter 6) Will complete some achievement which provides you with T6 and later T7 selectors, an awesome way to start gearing up. Note that selecting anything besides Black(Mp/ATK or Red dragon(Crit) for now isn't recommended as you'll need to farm copies of the same gear to awaken it.
- If you’re having problem balancing stats you can always use runes to supply where ever you might be lacking.
- You should also have a line of Lifesteal in there somewhere.
- Healers mostly use the same stats as DPS. Maybe an extra HP line or so in there for survival if needed.
- Note 1: Once you hit Tier 7 gear, Option lines drastically change, letting you stack the same line twice on a piece of gear but makes it harder to farm in the process. If this gets you confused then look around for builds and search what your hero might benefit most from.
- Note 2: If your heroes die a lot, maybe you’re better off adding a line of HP in there somewhere to help them out.
- 2) Tank General build: Early on try to aim for a total across your gear of 4 P.Dodge lines - 4 HP lines - 6 of various blocks so that your total for both physical or magic comes to comes to 720
- 2 Mana per ATT (or extra HP/dodge if low/no mana need)
- Runes should be:M.Blockdef - P.blockdef - M.Tough - HP - P.Dodge
- You’ll probably want two pieces of Black Dragon with two Ice dragon, or something close to that.
- Note 1) There are different builds that you can use who might end up being more efficient but they are better off to attempt once you’re deeper in and have a lot of resources. Lurk around and ask accordingly.
- Note 2) Some of the dragons (Fire, Ice, Poison) exclusively deal Magical Damage, hence a different build could also be more useful at higher level farming.
- Unique Treasure: This one is a bit more complicated since there really are more useful ones out there compared to others. You’ll have to research on the ones your heroes have access to before deciding on what is best. One thing for certain is that every treasure gives you a boost in HP and some random stats, so it’s important to fill that slot. You can even use non-unique ones in the meantime which you can buy from the forge.
- With that out of the way you should be able to clear Hell mode for the first 6 chapters and move on to chapter 7 now. As you progress on to chapter 8, expect more min/maxing of your stats and more farming to do. The end goal mostly remains to perform well in World Bosses and Guild Conquest, have fun.
